The IEEE International Conference on Healthcare Informatics 2015 (ICHI 2015) challenge addressed the issue of reducing repetitive posts in patient support forums. To tackle this, a model utilizing cosine similarity and TF-IDF metrics was developed to assess post similarity. Applied to data from the challenge, the model demonstrated improved performance compared to existing topic modeling approaches like LDA and LSI, enhancing the management of forum content.
