This study examines health-related discussion boards for people with diabetes, focusing on how information is shared and how users signpost resources. Using qualitative content analysis, the study identifies two main themes: 'Information Sharing from Experience' and 'Signposting Other Sources of Information.' Findings reveal that users primarily share information based on personal experience and direct signposting, valuing the quality of information and often incorporating insights from healthcare professionals and experts. This trend highlights the evolving nature of health knowledge in peer-to-peer support networks.
