This study investigates the cultural and social aspects of Orthorexia Nervosa, a disorder characterized by an obsession with "clean eating," through an internet ethnographic approach. By employing thematic narrative analysis on 30 male and female narratives found online, the research explores how individuals understand their eating habits through themes of pursuit, resistance, and recovery. The study reveals how these narratives are motivated by desires for physical, emotional, and social change. It highlights the role of cultural elements and the influence of online cultural values in shaping eating disorders, set against the broader context of reflexive modernization.
