This pilot study investigates whether mini audio presentations (MAPs) enhance online course facilitation, focusing on their effectiveness in increasing teaching presence, immediacy, and student engagement. MAPs, featuring specific facilitation markers like reinforcement, recognition, and reward, were posted by instructors at various times in the online course. The study utilized a two-part survey to gather students' perceptions of MAPs. Preliminary findings suggest that MAPs improve students' understanding of course content and overall satisfaction with the course.
