Social media is increasingly used by authorities to disseminate traffic information and engage with the public. However, travelers, especially tourists, often prefer using Q&A forums like TripAdvisor for transport-related information. Ensuring the accuracy of this information is crucial but manually scanning and verifying it is impractical. This paper introduces a methodology for automatically categorizing transport-related questions in Q&A forums and extracting travel instructions. The development of classifiers for this purpose is described, demonstrating their applicability across various cities and the feasibility of extracting origin and destination information from questions to gain insights into common routes.
