This study examines the quality of travel information provided in Question & Answer forums like TripAdvisor’s city forums. It identifies key characteristics that tourists seek when asking for travel instructions and proposes a multidimensional model for assessing the quality of responses. Findings indicate that concise answers with up to four key information items are preferred over longer responses, and a variety of information types is valued over multiple items of the same category. The study suggests that additional information should be added only if it fills gaps in the existing response.
