This paper provides empirical evidence on active underground online forums, specifically carding forums, where stolen financial data and illicit services are traded. Unlike existing literature that primarily examines forum structure or relies on data from defunct forums, this study monitors five active carding forums over a three-month period. Through quantitative and qualitative analysis of the collected posts, the research focuses on products, prices, seller prolificacy, specialization, and reputation, presenting detailed findings and insights into the dynamics of these illicit marketplaces.
