This study examines online support forums for Chinese and Korean immigrant women, analyzing the types of mental health problems they face, their support-seeking strategies, the social support they receive, and the relationships between these factors. The study found that these women primarily sought support by sharing personal experiences and received the most informational support. Informational support was most frequently provided for depression, anxiety, and personality disorders, while emotional support was most often offered for impulse control issues. Requests for information commonly elicited informational support, whereas statements of extreme behavior tended to attract emotional support.
