This paper explores the complexities of shale gas development, highlighting uncertainties related to resource volume and local industry impact. Through the analysis of information meetings in Poland (Przywidz, Mikołajki Pomorskie, and Żurawlów) organized by NGOs, companies, and local authorities, it identifies three key dimensions of uncertainty—knowledge, space, and time. The study reveals that these uncertainties create knowledge gaps and complicate agreements. The concept of ‘hybrid forums’ is used to illustrate how initial ‘information meetings’ evolve into platforms where diverse stakeholder perspectives generate new facts, values, and identities.
