This research investigates whether knowledge building in English-language forums supports foreign language learning by analyzing Catalan secondary school students' collaborative writing tasks. Using the Knowledge Building International Project (KBIP) framework, the study applied data triangulation and method triangulation to observe students' progress and assess foreign language learning through pre-tests, post-tests, observations, and digital questionnaires. Results indicate a significant improvement in students' foreign language comprehension and writing abilities.
