This paper examines the use of online discussion forums to enhance language awareness among student-teachers of L2 English in Hong Kong. The study analyzes 18 discussion threads to assess how effectively these forums facilitate the transition from declarative to procedural language awareness (TLA). Findings indicate that novice teachers frequently used the platform to seek help and reflect on their teaching practices, demonstrating a movement towards practical application of TLA. The research highlights the potential of online forums as a tool for understanding and developing teachers' language awareness.
