This study employs social network analysis to explore social capital and network dynamics within a depression support forum. By mapping user interactions and reply ties, the research identifies a reciprocal pattern in how users communicate. Findings reveal that users’ bridging social capital correlates positively with the diversity of sources for their received replies but negatively with the length of those replies. Conversely, bonding social capital is positively associated with the length of received replies and negatively with source diversity.
