This paper examines how pragmatic and discourse conditions influence the communicative construction of collective knowledge, particularly in internet forums. While existing research primarily focuses on mass media texts, this study shifts the focus to online forums discussing OSTDEUTSCH (East German). By analyzing data from these forums, the paper explores how discourse knowledge is utilized interactively in different communicative contexts. Key areas of focus include the role of interactionality and the differences between discourse practices in mass media and online forums.
