This study explores the use of social media and dark web forum data to predict enterprise cyberattacks by analyzing user interaction networks. The researchers applied social network features to supervised learning models to forecast potential attacks on specific days. Data from 53 dark web forums over 12 months and two real-world security incidents indicated that examining the path structure of user interactions is more effective for prediction than traditional metrics like Pagerank or user-posting statistics.
