This study evaluates the effectiveness of community forums in enhancing knowledge about human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines and cervical cancer among African American communities. Using a one-group pretest–posttest design with a 17-item questionnaire, data from 412 participants showed a significant increase in perceived knowledge after the forums. The study highlights that knowledge gains were influenced by gender, access to care, and trust in vaccines, emphasizing that culturally and historically sensitive forums could improve HPV and cervical cancer awareness in these communities.
