JoelR Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Servant leadership is a leadership philosophy in which the goal of the community leader is to serve her users. This is different from traditional leadership where the leader's main focus is the thriving of their company or organization. What does service mean to you? What initiatives have you done to support your members? Quote
Nomad Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 In democracy, the leaders are the servants of the people. The entire purpose of leadership is to serve the people. Sadly, this system of governance is not working even in the countries where there is a democratic government. Just like in the politics, the entire community exist for the people, if there are no people, the community is the ghost town. Sadly the entire leadership of the community is centralized, all power remains in one person and it is run by the whim of one person. Quote
Kane Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 I do not think this works in a community. A community is something where there is a owner/admin who tries to run the community the way he does. Let's say you no longer want to run the community, wouldn't you just shut it down even when your users want the community to still function. Quote
