  1. It's quite a task to encourage people to follow things, even a team chat I have - only five members follow it including myself. I think productively it can be helpful, but I do see the annoyance too. I honestly think it's more effective here than not, I get so many notifications I wouldn't normally and whilst it can be overbearing it does force me to take action over what I am getting sent as notifications.
  2. @JoelR: Which resource do you use that encourages people to follow items? (automatically)
  3. Neither, I don't think any is required. However, I would say I prefer it privately. Would you rather - is a fun forum game to play. 👍
  4. This is a tough question. Ideally most dev's would permit that keys for IPS Marketplace purchases can be redeemed here. I think it makes sense for those who do not have their own setup or means to offer an easy way for customers to download their resources. However, I would understand if this wasn't doable or even in the pipeline.
  5. I'll be hiring a trustworthy dev to make an application to return the feature, hopefully. Yet, I was planning to stay on v4, until I was hacked. Now I am not sure.
  6. There are many things I use, such as physical products that are being removed with counteracts the usefulness of upgrading. I make money selling things, I can't without having a store with physical products. That news felt like a massive blow to me.
  7. I do think in general it's a more negative thing than beneficial. Also, I am not saying it's connected to this example but keep in mind, some will think it will allow them the freedom to share resources with those dodgy communities where they make people's hard work available for free. "They can't see me" - therefore they won't know. I think it makes more sense to avoid posting if you fear repercussions for stating your beliefs. These days things can become heated and annoying over very simple things, sometimes people don't want to hear the truth. But posting discretly, I don't think it's productive personally.
  8. If I am to chip in, personally, I think only devs and team members have a valid reason to want to be anonymous. I.E to stop customers knowing when they are online, as I am sure it's very common for them to be PM'ed about things. As a regular member, I personally don't see the need to hide myself not even for privacy reasons.
  9. This makes me want to upgrade the moment v5 is dropped, but it's not practical for me. Ehren has done a great job with the design, as have the developers with building it up. It looks a lot more modern too.
  10. I have a lot of hopes for this site. I have been meaning to join for a while as I noticed upon the launch of the new providers' directory. I also noticed with a keen glee, comments about this being created during the closure of the IPS marketplace. In the early days of having the internet, I recall using and being a part of Invisionize.com - those were the days. It's why it's nice to see a site focusing on providing developers somewhere to continue that together Invisionize fostered and eventually what the IPS marketplace becomes (but just for purchasing items). Invisioneer.org has the ability to be a great place, and I am hoping more people catch on to it. There's some great, hard working people who deserve this spotlight for making IPS even more than what the core offers.
