This paper investigates the dynamics within Al‐Saha Al‐Siyasia, the most prominent political online community in Saudi Arabia, with 20 million monthly page views. Utilizing focused silent observation, thematic content analysis of 2,000 topics, and semi-structured interviews with 15 key informants over May-July 2007, the study identifies three main groups: Islamic fundamentalists, extremists, and liberals. Fundamentalists dominate the forum, using it to promote their religious practices; extremists, though fewer, seek to establish credibility for their actions; and liberals aim to engage the public in social reform, advocating for a less strict interpretation of Islam and the adoption of secularism. This research offers a comprehensive analysis of the roles and influence of these groups within the Al‐Saha Al‐Siyasia online community.
