This research investigates the experiences of Information Technology (IT) teachers using online communities of practice (CoP) in teaching the Computer Skills 2 course, part of the Work Readiness Program at a Higher Education Institution in the Middle East. Utilizing a phenomenological approach, the study explores how online CoP affects teaching methods, student collaboration, and engagement while also considering the challenges, such as increased workload for teachers. Through interviews and thematic analysis, four central themes were identified: promotion of student collaboration, redefinition of the teacher's role, encouragement of student engagement, and management of increased workload. The study highlights both the benefits and challenges of implementing online CoP in educational settings.
