This study develops and tests a model for predicting the continued use of professional online communities, integrating the information systems success model with the theory of reasoned action. Analyzing responses from 1,675 members of an academic professional community, the study finds that satisfaction, perceived usefulness, and post-adoptive subjective norm are key predictors of continued use intention. Notably, it reveals that subjective norm negatively impacts continued use intention, suggesting dues-paying professional community members may be less influenced by others' opinions in their decision to continue using the platform.
