This paper explores the innovative use of blogs and online communities within the Initial Teacher Education Division at The University of Northampton, UK, to enhance learning for both staff and students in higher education. Through critical analysis of media-rich multimodal content shared via these digital tools, the study presents case studies demonstrating the impact on interdisciplinary subject teaching, staff development, and student engagement. It highlights the strengths and limitations of the practices adopted and emphasizes the role of reflexivity, communities of practice, and experimentation with technology in fostering educational growth.
