This study delves into the online Pick-up Artist (PUA) community forums, focusing on the reconstruction of experiences through "field reports"—narratives detailing encounters between PUAs and women. It examines how these narratives, far from being mere reflections of reality, actively shape perceptions and understandings within the community by employing specific framing techniques. Through analyzing the linguistic evocation of three key frames—[pua training], [personal narrative], and [success report]—the research reveals how these frames interact and rely on both group-specific knowledge schemas and conventional narrative structures to guide readers towards the intended interpretation of events.
