This study delves into the origins and spread of new words within extensive online social communities, drawing on sociolinguistic theories to examine how the adoption of novel terminology relates to the social roles of the users involved. By analyzing the traits of those who introduce and those who adopt these innovations, the research offers insights into the dynamics of language evolution in digital environments. Furthermore, it includes a predictive aspect, aiming to forecast the likelihood of a lexical innovation gaining traction within a community.
