This paper explores lurkers in online communities, individuals who read but rarely engage in posting messages, suggesting that they constitute a significant portion of community members. By understanding lurking behaviors and strategies for "delurking," the study aims to facilitate the healthy growth of online communities, potentially benefiting internet commerce. Employing goal-oriented modeling within the i* intentional modeling framework, the paper provides insights into the motivations and actions of lurkers.
