Farahani and Lozanovska (2014) developed a framework for exploring the sense of community and social life in residential environments. The framework consists of three interrelated dimensions: physical, social, and personal. The physical dimension includes factors such as architecture, layout, and public spaces. The social dimension includes factors such as relationships and interactions between residents. The personal dimension includes factors such as identity, belonging, and attachment to the community. The authors suggested that the framework can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of residential environments in promoting a sense of community and social life.
