This research focuses on the impact of community design on user behavior within online communities, specifically analyzing how different factors contribute to identity-based and bond-based user attachments. Through a survey, it finds that network effects, intergroup comparison, and social categorization significantly influence identity attachment, while collectivism, interpersonal similarity, and social interaction foster bond attachment. The study highlights that identity attachment plays a crucial role in driving user behavior in online communities.
