This paper tackles the challenge of improving user satisfaction in online forums by proposing a framework designed to "push" questions to the most appropriate potential experts, aiming for quicker and higher-quality answers. The framework computes user expertise using content analysis and then re-ranks these users based on structural relations within the forum, employing three models: profile-based, thread-based, and cluster-based. Experimental results of applying this two-step process, which integrates into a probabilistic model for final user ranking, show promising outcomes in effectively routing questions to the top-k experts in a forum.
