This article presents findings from a case study on an online bachelor's level course at an Australian University, demonstrating the effectiveness of the integrated methodological framework (IMF) in exploring online communities of inquiry (CoI). Employing social network analysis (SNA), the study assesses student engagement within discussion forums across two course offerings, revealing the impact of different learning designs on community formation. Results indicate the formation of an unidentified community and a CoI in different semesters, emphasizing the importance of learning design and analytics in online learning.
