This study explores the influence of psychological ownership and social recognition on the intention to share creative works in online remix communities. Through a preliminary study involving user interviews and community log analysis, followed by a quasi-experiment using a prototype online remix community for smartphone themes, the research demonstrates that both psychological ownership and social recognition significantly increase users' intentions to share their creations. Interestingly, it was found that the positive impact of social recognition on sharing intention is amplified when users have a higher sense of psychological ownership over their work. The findings offer valuable insights into how to encourage sharing and constructive creation in online remix environments, highlighting the importance of fostering a sense of ownership and recognition among creators.
