This qualitative study investigates the social media use of 25 LGBTQ students with disabilities at a research-intensive university, examining how they explore and express their queer/disability identities online. Through a lens of identity-making, the study reveals that students seek validation, community involvement, and contextual identity management on platforms like social networking sites, smartphone applications, and blogs. Despite these positive experiences, the findings also highlight experiences of online marginalization and isolation, underscoring the need for higher education institutions to critically assess the impact of online engagement on these students.
