This study explores the integration of social networking features into a semantic network portal to enhance enterprise training units' efforts in upskilling employees and facilitating knowledge creation and reuse in online communities. It offers an overview of this emerging research area within knowledge management and collaborative online communities, highlighting the necessity for systematic assessment of social network technologies due to the proliferation of social network online communities. The paper provides practical guidance for online communities and human resources management, addressing a significant gap in the literature.
