This study investigates the participation of seniors in online communities through an online survey of 218 members across 16 communities, uncovering the psychological and social benefits alongside the challenges faced by elderly users. Key benefits highlighted include 'Joyfulness', 'Stimulation', and 'Companionship', with notable positive impacts on offline social life, interests, and activities. Despite encountering negative experiences and participation constraints, the findings indicate that these communities play a significant role in enhancing seniors' well-being and contributing to successful aging.
