This paper explores the emergence and utilization of social e-enterprises, which combine profit-oriented strategies with a not-for-profit perspective in the online environment. It examines how technological innovations have enabled businesses to creatively address social issues, particularly through mobile communication and online communities. The paper reviews the nascent literature on social entrepreneurship and e-entrepreneurship, providing suggestions for practitioners shaping social e-enterprises and recommendations for future research.
