This paper presents a qualitative study on extracting and identifying an enterprise's implicit web communities using link analysis. By mapping these communities' relationships to the enterprise, stakeholders can organize information into groups and effectively monitor external environments. The study utilized 445 hypertext links and associated comments from MicroStrategy's website to develop a proto-typology. This framework not only identifies implicit user communities but also aids in understanding how the enterprise supports their interests and value creation activities.
