This qualitative study delves into the experiences of 20 Long COVID sufferers from five online communities, focusing on their illness perceptions and the impact on their social relationships. Three main themes emerged: the complex nature of their condition amidst a developing pandemic context, negative experiences with healthcare professionals, and the crucial role of online communities in providing validation and support.
