This study investigates the implementation of an online Community of Practice (CoP) for the professional development of teachers in Malaysia, aiming to foster innovation in teaching through collaboration in a virtual environment. Despite the potential benefits of such a platform for enhancing teaching practices, challenges such as low participation, trust issues, performance anxiety, and time constraints were identified. These obstacles highlight the need for strategies to increase engagement and demonstrate the relevance of online interactions to teachers' professional needs.
