This study explores the relationship between online communities and dynamic capabilities in the context of competitive advantage. It argues that organizations can leverage online communities to sense and shape opportunities and threats, seize opportunities, and reconfigure assets to adapt to changing business environments. By bridging strategy and information systems literature, the paper offers empirical insights into the strategic use of information technology.
