This research explores the impact of different co-creation environments on student engagement and focused attention among tenth-grade students in Taiwan. The study compares three environments: traditional paper-based, 2D Jamboard, and the CoSpaces VR platform, across a sample of 66 students. Findings indicate that while there were no significant differences in behavioral and cognitive engagement, or focused attention across the environments, the VR platform significantly enhanced emotional engagement due to its immersive qualities. The study suggests extending co-creation activities over a semester to fully leverage the benefits of these tools for enhancing engagement and attention.
