This paper presents three case studies on the use of online communities for collaborative learning in allied health programs, focusing on how internet-based tools can enhance both affective and cognitive learning behaviors. The cases demonstrate that structured collaborative learning activities, grounded in principles of adult and collaborative learning, can significantly increase student participation, foster a sense of teamwork, and improve clinical decision-making skills. The findings highlight the potential benefits of incorporating online collaborative learning strategies in educational settings, with the majority of students supporting the continuation or expansion of such activities.
