This research introduces an 'open foresight' process, focusing on the future of aviation by the year 2040, through a combination of foresight workshops with 'Radar Groups', Delphi studies, and netnographies of online communities. By incorporating insights from both aviation experts and online communities, the study aims to compare their future assessments and foresight capabilities, demonstrating how online communities can be effectively integrated into foresight processes. This innovative approach, termed 'Open Radar Groups', showcases the value of blending expert opinions with the broader perspectives of community members, thereby enhancing the foresight process and enriching the knowledge base of companies.
