This study challenges traditional perspectives on informal learning, suggesting a shift from viewing it as an individual, reflective process to understanding it as a collective meaning-making activity. By analyzing a thread from an online hiking community through discourse analysis, the research proposes a new approach to studying informal learning, emphasizing the role of group conversations in the learning process.
