Selling eBooks and Courses

I have sold ebooks and mini courses through my blogs and also on third party sites, however, I have not tried selling ebooks and courses through my communities. I am thinking to sell ebooks and courses through my communities. By the way, has anyone tried selling ebooks and courses through their communities? Do you make sales?

I use many forums but I have not been on any forums where they are selling courses and ebooks.  I have seen some communities offer free courses, though. I believe it can be a lucrative way to make money from your forum provided you have a lot of users and you have organic activities (as opposed to having paid posters)

I have seen a lot of websites, including blogs, selling ebooks and courses but until now I have not seen any online communities selling courses and ebooks. I believe if your community is huge (has a lot of active users) and get a lot of traffic, you might be able to sell ebooks and courses. I do not have any experience in this area, though.
