Inspired by the IKEA Effect: 

Ever put together furniture from IKEA? The act of co-creation means you end up loving that furniture more than your other furniture (sorry side table! You're not as loved as my vittsjö!)

What does this mean for community owners? 

- Bring users into the development pipeline at idea generation, brainstorming, execution, or feedback. Highlight and tag users when their feedback become reality. 

- Allow personalization to help users "make it their own" 

- Be sure to highlight users that are helpful, informative, or provided super resources. Humans have a psychological need to feel a sense of competency
